CitruslyFresh was born during the early days of COVID. While some people were baking bread, I went down the rabbit hole of pressing fresh fruit and experimenting with blends. After going through bags of citrus and ending up with way more juice than I could drink, I started pouring the extra into ice cube trays.
It was a simple idea: I wanted fresh lemon for my water and seltzers, and lime juice on hand for a margarita—without the mess of cutting, straining, and squeezing every time.
Pressing fruit became a surprisingly therapeutic ritual—the pressing, straining, blending, and pouring. And the payoff? A delicious, fresh drink at the ready, without the sticky cleanup. As I refined my process, I invested in better equipment and micro trays, making it even more efficient.
Whenever we went to friends’ or family gatherings, I’d bring trays of citrus cubes. People were immediately curious—asking questions, trying them out, and soon enough, requesting trays for their own parties. The feedback was always the same: they loved the fresh taste, the convenience, and the simplicity.
That’s when I knew this idea had potential. And so, CitruslyFresh was born.
